I believe that giving children access to culture and creativity helps them make sense of the world and of themselves and I hope to empower young people to tell their stories, their own unique way. When we have the tools and the time to develop our own creative potential, we feel fulfilled - as youngsters and grown-ups. My goal is to give young writers a tool kit to express their creativity.
Most of my workshops incorporate music, movement, sensory games, creative writing prompts and challenges and crafts that allow participants to be free to express their creativity. I have a range of workshops that suit all primary school ages. In my workshops, I talk about storytelling and the process of picture book making. We explore how to open your mind to fresh ideas for stories. Although I have a range of tried and tested workshops for different age groups and needs, I am also happy to work with you to create custom workshops for festivals etc.
